Abstract

Zusammenfassung Grün- und Freiräume in Städten sollen Erholung, Freizeit, Begegnung und Teilhabe fördern. Dieses Kapitel untersucht, wie diese Räume wirklich allen Menschen gerecht werden können. Es beleuchtet die Notwendigkeit einer gendergerechten und inklusiven Gestaltung öffentlicher Räume, die nicht nur Gender, sondern auch unterschiedliche sozioökonomische und kulturelle Bedürfnisse berücksichtigt. Herausforderungen wie Angsträume durch schlechte Beleuchtung und Wegeführung werden thematisiert. Praktische Beispiele zeigen, wie unter anderem gendersensible Sportangebote und vielfältige Sitzgelegenheiten geschaffen werden, die Sicherheit und Einladung bieten. Ein besonderer Fokus wird dabei auf die Bedürfnisse von Mädchen* im öffentlichen Raum gelegt. Eine Zusammenfassung der wichtigsten Punkte rundet das Kapitel ab.
