Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Eventmanagement umfasst verschiedene Tätigkeiten und Aufgaben, die sich mit der Planung und Organisation von Veranstaltungen befassen. In diesem Kapitel wird ein Schwerpunkt auf das Eventmanagement in Eventlocations und Tagungshotels gelegt und wird dabei klar vom F&B-orientierten Bankett und dem proaktiven Verkauf abgegrenzt. Das Eventmanagement stellt vielmehr die Schnittstelle zwischen externen Kunden und internen Abteilungen dar. Zu den Aufgaben gehören die Angebots- und Vertragserstellung und die Detailplanung gemeinsam mit dem Veranstaltungskunden ebenso wie interne Abstimmungen und die Erstellung von Ablaufplänen. Neben einer abgeschlossenen Ausbildung oder einem Studium sowie praktischen Erfahrungen im Eventumfeld werden insbesondere gute Organisations- und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten, eigenverantwortliches Arbeiten sowie Flexibilität und Stressresistenz vorausgesetzt. Eine Tätigkeit im Eventmanagement ist teilzeit- und teilweise remote-fähig. Zahlreiche digitale Tools sorgen für zunehmende Automatisierung, effizienteres Arbeiten und mehr zeitliche Ressourcen für den persönlichen Kundenkontakt. Umfangreiche Karriere- und Weiterbildungsmöglichkeiten machen dieses Berufsfeld insbesondere für den Berufseinstieg attraktiv.
