Abstract

Zusammenfassung Lebensversicherer schließen eine große Anzahl von Verträgen mit ähnlichen biometrischen Risiken ab, wodurch sich mit zunehmender Bestandsgröße Ausgleichseffekte zwischen diesen Risiken ergeben und dadurch zufällige Schwankungen in der Schadenverteilung reduziert werden (Risikoausgleich im Kollektiv). Rückversicherung beschreibt nun den Vorgang, dass ein Lebensversicherer einen Teil der von ihm übernommenen Risiken an ein anderes Versicherungsunternehmen weitergibt. Der Grund dafür ist, dass der tatsächliche Aufwand für Schäden bzw. Leistungen vom erwarteten Aufwand abweichen kann und dadurch das versicherungstechnische Risiko zu groß für den Erstversicherer wird. Rückversicherung kann aber auch aus anderen Gründen in Anspruch genommen werden. Wir werden kurz auf die Funktionen von Rückversicherung eingehen und anschließend die unterschiedlichen Ausprägungen von proportionalen und nicht-proportionalen Rückversicherungsverträgen kennenlernen. Ebenso erhalten wir einen Einblick in die Berechnung von Rückversicherungsprämien auf Original- oder Risikobasis.
