Abstract

Zusammenfassung Individuum und Organisation sind ein vielzitiertes Begriffspaar, dessen Beziehung untereinander allerdings immer noch eine Forschungslücke ist. Die interdisziplinäre Forschung zur interkulturellen Kommunikation sieht qua Tradition in den Arbeitskontexten von Individuen eines ihrer relevantesten Forschungsfelder. Allerdings scheint auch die Erforschung interkultureller Kommunikation am Arbeitsplatz über mehrere Paradigmenwechsel hinweg eine Identifizierung arbeitsspezifischer Aspekte interkultureller Kommunikation beinahe systematisch ausgeklammert zu haben. Es bleibt die Suche nach Gründen für diese scheinbare Inkompatibilität von Arbeit und Kultur.
