Abstract

Zusammenfassung Um den Klimawandel zu stoppen, braucht es einen Ausstieg aus Kohle, Öl und Gas. Die Innovation muss sich auf erneuerbare Energie richten und die Weiterentwicklung fossiler Energieträger stoppen. Grosse Unternehmen haben jedoch in der Vergangenheit viel Erfahrung in fossiler Energie gesammelt. Es fällt ihnen schwer, dieses Know-how abzuschreiben und ihre Forschung radikal auf erneuerbare Energie umzustellen. Junge Unternehmen sind nicht in vergangenen F&E-Mustern verhaftet und können sich leichter auf erneuerbare Energie spezialisieren. Die Energiewende gelingt eher, wenn die Wirtschaftspolitik den Marktzutritt junger Unternehmen und ihre anschliessenden F&E-Investitionen erleichtert.
