Abstract

Zusammenfassung Universitäten schaffen neues Wissen und bilden die grössten Talente aus. Die Grundlagenforschung soll allen nutzen, frei zugänglich sein, und braucht daher eine nachhaltige Basisfinanzierung. Die angewandte Forschung stiftet konkreten Nutzen für die Wirtschaft und trägt zur Drittmittelfinanzierung der Universitäten bei. Die Unternehmen müssen jedoch die Erträge schützen, damit ihre Investitionen in die Forschung rentieren.
