Abstract

Product managers are responsible for the (further) development of their product and are entrusted with a wide range of tasks. However, product management is always also a team sport, involving many different stakeholders and sometimes conflicting objectives. All too easily, the necessary communication and coordination between the product manager and his stakeholders can be pushed into the background, when concrete product decisions and acute problems that immediately need to be solved come to the fore. The article shows how important it is for product managers to consistently invest in relationship maintenance and proactive communication with their stakeholders in order to develop better products more efficiently in the long term.
