Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Entwicklung der künstlichen Intelligenz ist in den letzten zwei bis drei Jahren explosionsartig angestiegen. Egal, ob eine immer feinere Google-Suche, Spracherkennung, Spam-Filter im E-Mail-Programm, schnellerer Börsen-Hochfrequenzhandel, Industrie 4.0 oder selbstfahrende Autos: überall ist KI im Spiel. So auch bei IBM Watson, der alle Gesundheitsdatenbanken der Welt analysieren und innerhalb von Sekunden Diagnosen stellen kann, für die Ärzte Hunderte Stunden lang Fachliteratur wälzen müssten. Oder der Roboter „Vinci“, der kleinere chirurgische Eingriffe durchführt. Oder das Bilderkennungsprogramm „R2 Digital“, das in Röntgen- oder Tomografiebildern für das menschliche Auge unsichtbare Krebsanzeichen aufspürt. Oder das Programm „Clearwell“, das in Sekunden Unmengen an komplizierten Rechtsfällen analysiert, für die die menschlichen Juristen Tausende Arbeitstage benötigen würden (vgl. Himmelfreundpointner 2016). – Was sich nach Science-Fiction anhört, ist längst Realität! Die Technologien sind das Herzstück der digitalen Transformation. Gleichzeitig lässt sich nicht immer zu 100 % sagen, welche Technologien wirklich ein disruptives Potenzial haben und sich nachhaltig durchsetzen.
