Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Digitalisierung verändert nicht nur unseren Alltag, sondern auch die Arbeitswelt nachhaltig. Sie wird zukünftig viele Bereiche in Verwaltung, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft neu gestalten. Grundlage dafür sind Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologien, die kommunale Infrastrukturen wie Energie, Verkehr, Wasser und Abwasser, Telekommunikation sowie Stadtsauberkeit smart miteinander verknüpfen. Damit ist die digitale Daseinsvorsorge eine der größten Herausforderungen, gleichzeitig auch eine der größten Chancen unserer Zeit. Kommunale Unternehmen sind vor Ort, kennen die Gegebenheiten, ihre Partner, ihre Kundinnen und Kunden. Kooperationen mit Kommunen, Wissenschaft und anderen kommunalen Unternehmen über Stadt- und Landesgrenzen hinweg sind eine Chance, den Entwicklungen der Digitalisierung nachhaltig zu begegnen.
