Abstract

Zusammenfassung Regionale Netzwerke stellen einen Treiber für innovative Technologien und Geschäftsmodelle dar. Durch die regionale Nähe entstehen verstärkte Möglichkeiten für direkte Interaktionen und enge, vertrauensvolle Kooperationsbeziehungen. Aus Sicht der Theorie der Adoption und Diffusion fördern insbesondere regionale, über die klassischen Akteure im Gesundheitswesen hinausgehende regionale Netzwerke die Verbreitung einer technologischen Innovation. Mehrere praktische Beispiele illustrieren, wie regionale Netzwerke als Beschleuniger für innovative Technologien und darauf aufbauende Geschäftsmodelle und zukunftsfähige Versorgungsstrukturen fungieren können. Allerdings zeigt sich auch, dass derartige Formen der dezentralen Kooperation kein Selbstläufer sind und entsprechende Versuche auch gänzlich scheitern oder als „Rohrkrepierer“ ohne signifikanten Output und Outcome bleiben können. Der Beitrag sensibilisiert daher für die zugrunde liegenden Herausforderungen und gibt Empfehlungen, mit ihnen umzugehen.
