Hörsystemtechnologien und ihre Funktionen – Hörverlust verstehen und Lebensqualität verbessern

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Gesprächspartner sprechen undeutlich, die Vögel zwitschern nicht mehr und in Gesellschaft mit vielen Nebengeräuschen ist Sprache nicht mehr oder nur mit sehr viel Anstrengung zu verstehen. Dies sind die ersten Anzeichen für einen Hörverlust. Dadurch muss aber nicht auf Lebensqualität verzichtet werden. Dank moderner volldigitaler Hörsystemtechnologien ist es möglich Sprache auch in komplexen Situationen zu verstehen. Dieser Beitrag befasst sich mit den Grundlagen der Anatomie des Gehörs, den unterschiedlichen Arten eines Hörverlustes und dessen Ursachen sowie den technischen Lösungen, die Hörgeräte derzeit leisten. Dabei werden die unterschiedlichen Funktionselemente, wie Signalverarbeitungskanäle, Richtmikrofone, Störgeräuschreduktion, Windgeräuschreduktion, Impulsschallreduktion, Rückkopplungsreduktion, Hörprogramme bis hin zu Akkutechnologie und drahtlosen Übertragungsmöglichkeiten beleuchtet und ihre Funktionsweise erklärt. Mithilfe dieses Beitrags können Sie Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der Hörsystemtechnologien erfassen und bewerten.
