Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Zukunftsforschung hat eine lange Tradition. Was morgen sein wird, beschäftigt die Menschen schon seit Jahrhunderten, wenn auch die Betrachtung der Zukunft in modernen Gesellschaften an Bedeutung gewinnt. Wie sich die Zukunftsforschung in den letzten hundert Jahren entwickelt hat, von welchen Strömungen und Disziplinen sie beeinflusst wird, welche Konzepte den wissenschaftlichen Diskurs prägen und was genau gemeint ist, wenn wir von DER Zukunft sprechen, wird in diesem Kapitel diskutiert und erläutert.
