Abstract

Zusammenfassung Inszenierungen in fernsehjournalistischen Beiträgen sind alltäglich und sowohl bei den öffentlich-rechtlichen Sendern wie bei den privat-kommerziellen zu finden. Da sich Journalist:innen immer häufiger als Erzähler:innen verstehen, ist das nur konsequent. Für die Fernsehzuschauer:innen sind gut erzählte Geschichten glaubwürdig, beinahe unabhängig davon, wie stark sie inszeniert sind. Der Trend zur guten Geschichte, die visuelle Vermittlungsleistung für die Kommunikator:innen und die Erwartungen des Fernsehpublikums unterhaltsam informiert zu werden, können in der Krisenkommunikation zur Herausforderung für Unternehmens-, Parteien- und Verbandskommunikatoren und PR-Verantwortliche werden. Bildmanipulationen können in der Krisenkommunikation zu einer Verschärfung der Lage beitragen und müssen deshalb im Krisenkommunikationsmanagement zwingend berücksichtigt werde. Dieser Beitrag beschreibt die Manipulationsmöglichkeiten in der Bewegtbildberichterstattung und erläutert die zugrunde liegenden Mechanismen. Diese, auch systemischen Bedingungen, zu kennen, ermöglicht es, strategisch größerem Schaden vorzubeugen, Maßnahmen zu ergreifen und Instrumente zu entwickeln, um der Bildmanipulation ggf. mit eigenen Inszenierungen zu begegnen.
