Abstract

Zusammenfassung Martin A. Bader und Christian Stummeyer geben einen Einblick in proprietäre und offene Innovationsansätze, die auf von Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) unterstützten Geschäftsmodellen basieren. Ausgehend von der historischen Entstehung der KI stellen sie den aktuellen Stand der Innovationsstrukturen in KI-Anwendungen und KI-basierten Geschäftsmodellen dar. Abschließend gehen sie auf die Rolle des geistigen Eigentums (IP) ein, mit besonderem Augenmerk auf Patente. Die Autoren schließen mit ihrem eigenen Modell formeller und informeller Schutzstrategien, die in KI-basierten Geschäftsmodellen angewandt werden, und der Frage, wie eine Balance zwischen offener und proprietärer Innovation genutzt werden kann.
