Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Umgang und die Verwendung von Daten, die im Rahmen der Krankenversorgung in Kliniken generiert werden, bringt spezifische ethische Aspekte mit sich, für die in diesem Kapitel sensibilisiert werden soll. Eine Nutzung von Versorgungsdaten zu Forschungszwecken birgt einerseits ein großes Potenzial, da sie über den Behandlungsnutzen hinaus auch der Wissensgenerierung und der Qualitätsverbesserung der medizinischen Versorgung dient. Andererseits sind das Selbstbestimmungsrecht Selbstbestimmungsrechtund das Recht auf Nichtwissen der PatientenRecht auf Nichtwissen zu respektieren. Das Risiko des Datenmissbrauchs und die Klärung von Nutzungsrechten sind für Gesundheitsdaten von besonderer Relevanz. Auch ist die Gefahr der mangelnden Repräsentativität verschiedener vulnerabler Gruppen in datenreicher Forschung, zu berücksichtigen.
