Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Narrativ der Smart City ist im Umfeld der Großstädte und Metropolen beheimatet. Dort wurde es entwickelt und wird es bis heute am meisten bearbeitet. Eine allgemeingültige Definition des Smart-City-Begriffs existiert allerdings bis heute nicht. Gemeinsamer Kern einschlägiger Smart-City-Definitionen ist die Zielstellung der Nutzung von Informations- und Kommunikationstechnologie (IKT) zum effizienteren Einsatz von natürlichen Ressourcen sowie zur Steigerung von Lebensqualität und Standortattraktivität in der Stadt.
