Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag befasst sich mit der Einrichtung und Verstetigung von sogenannten „Pop-up-Radwegen“. Dabei handelt es sich um temporär eingerichtete Fahrradspuren, die im Bezirk Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg in Berlin während der ersten Phase der COVID-19-Pandemie im Jahr 2020 eingerichtet wurden. Forschungsleitende Fragestellung war: „Was sind Barrieren und Treiber für die Implementierung von Pop-up-Radwegen und auf welcher (rechtlichen) Grundlage ist es möglich, diese gesunde und klimafreundliche Mobilitätslösung in postpandemischen Zeiten zu verstetigen?“. Zur Beantwortung dieser Frage wurden eine Literaturrecherche und auf dieser aufbauende, leitfadengestützte Expert:inneninterviews durchgeführt. Im Ergebnis zeigt sich, dass die Pop-up Radwege eine gute Maßnahme zur Verbesserung der Radverkehrsinfrastruktur im bestehenden rechtlichen Rahmen darstellen. Langfristig ist jedoch eine gesetzliche Verankerung im Sinne der Mobilitätswende, neben einer Reform in den administrativen Prozessen, zwingend notwendig.
