Abstract

Zusammenfassung Dieser Beitrag hat das Zusammenspiel zwischen Augmented Reality (AR) und Journalismus zum Thema und beschreibt – nach einem historischen Überblick – die technischen Innovationen sowie Methoden des digitalen Storytellings, die Augmented Reality zu einem wichtigen Tool für die journalistische Medienproduktion gemacht haben. Mehr als 20 Jahre nach ersten wissenschaftlichen Analysen dieser neuen Formen des Journalismus hat sich AR als journalistisches Werkzeug mehrfach gewandelt. Dabei hat sich gezeigt: Journalistische Inhalte sind nur ein Teil einer gelungenen Erfahrung mit AR – die technischen Möglichkeiten müssen zum Inhalt passen und einen wirklichen Mehrwert bieten, um langfristig genutzt zu werden.
