Abstract

Zusammenfassung Nachhaltigkeit ist aus Unternehmenssicht eines der am meisten diskutierten Themen der letzten Jahre. Während große Unternehmen mit immer neuen Gesetzen zur Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung konfrontiert werden, sehen kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen (KMU) in Deutschland oftmals noch nicht die Notwendigkeit, sich dieser Entwicklung zu öffnen. Es zeigt sich jedoch, dass es auch für KMU längst an der Zeit ist, die eigene Positionierung in Bezug auf Nachhaltigkeit zu überprüfen und die Strategie auf diese hin anzupassen, um langfristig wettbewerbsfähig zu bleiben. Der Beitrag beleuchtet daher die Relevanz der Nachhaltigkeitsberichterstattung auch für KMU und gibt Ansatzpunkte für deren Gestaltung.
