Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die moderne Banksteuerung 1.0, bestehend aus der Zielfunktion zur Maximierung des Shareholder Value und der Nebenbedingung der jederzeitigen Risikotragfähigkeit, erscheint als ein in sich logisches und legitimes Steuerungswerkzeug, welches insbesondere aufgrund seiner bestechenden Eingängigkeit erst einmal keinen Ansatzpunkt für Zweifel bietet. Umso irritierender ist es, dass nach ca. zwei Dekaden Praxiserfahrung die Zielverfehlung umso größer scheint, je konsequenter sie in der Steuerung umgesetzt wird und trotz Einhaltung einer scheinbar wissenschaftlich bzw. mathematisch-statistisch untermauerten Nebenbedingung die Anzahl der Bankpleiten gestiegen ist.
