Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die in fast allen Lebensbereichen festzustellende und immer schneller voranschreitende Digitalisierung ist in den vergangen Jahren nicht spurlos an den Lohnsteuerhilfevereinen und den von ihnen angebotenen Dienstleistungen vorbei gegangen. Umgekehrt haben sich die Lohnsteuerhilfevereine den Herausforderungen gestellt, die mit der Digitalisierung des Steuerberatungsmarktes verbunden gewesen sind. Sie waren Vorreiter bei der Nutzung des von der Finanzverwaltung entwickelten ELSTER-Verfahrens zur elektronischen Einreichung der Steuererklärung bei den Finanzämtern. Auch bei der nunmehr weiter fortschreitenden Digitalisierung sind die Lohnsteuerhilfevereine gefragter Ansprechpartner der Finanzverwaltung. Die Anforderungen an die Vereine und ihre Mitarbeiter sind hoch, weil die Digitalisierung zum einen den Einsatz entsprechender Technologien voraussetzt, zum anderen aber auch die Fähigkeit, diese Technologien sicher und nutzbringend einzusetzen.
