Abstract

Zusammenfassung Immer mehr Unternehmen und Institutionen versuchen sich an agilen Ansätzen, führen agile Methoden ein oder etablieren agile Strukturen. Der Bedarf nach organisatorischer Flexibilität steigt, klassische Leitungssysteme, die auf Beständigkeit und der Annahme langfristig planbarer Lösungen aufgebaut wurden, fallen immer mehr aus der Zeit. Agile Organisationsformen sind darauf ausgerichtet, Veränderungen transparent und partizipativ im und am System zu ermöglichen. Unternehmerische Entscheidungen werden in agilen Systemen dynamisch und in kleinen, evolutionären Schritten getroffen. Am Beispiel eines Zeitschriftenverlags wird gezeigt, wie mit Hilfe des holokratischen „Betriebssystems“ eine hierarchische, planbasierte, „top down“ getriebene Organisation durch eine rollenbasierte Struktur selbststeuernder, kollaborativer Einheiten ersetzt werden kann – verbunden mit allen Vor- und Nachteilen, die damit einhergehen.
