Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Begriff „Metapher“ wird im Bereich der Human–Computer Interaction vor allem mit dem Konzept der Interface-Metapher in Verbindung gebracht, insbesondere mit dem bekanntesten Vertreter: der Desktop-Metapher. Daneben gibt es noch weitere, jedoch weniger bekannte Anwendungsformen von Metaphern. Dieses Ungleichgewicht in der Wahrnehmung kann dazu führen, dass Metaphern entweder zu oft und zu oberflächlich als Werkzeug eingesetzt oder vollkommen vernachlässigt werden. Dieser Beitrag hat zum Ziel, drei Anwendungsformen von Metaphern bei der Gestaltung interaktiver Systeme, nämlich Interface-Metapher, generative Metapher und Design-Metapher, zu beschreiben und voneinander abzugrenzen, sowie Anwendungsbeispiele zur Verständlichkeit bereitzustellen.
