Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das häufigste Einsatzgebiet der CIB ist die Entwicklung von qualitativen Szenarien. Dieses Kapitel beschäftigt sich daher damit, welche Rolle Szenarien in der Zukunftsvorbereitung in Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft, Politik und Verwaltung spielen und welche Möglichkeiten die CIB in der Szenariomethodik bietet. Dabei ist dies kein Lehrbuch über Szenariotechnik im Allgemeinen. Die vielfältigen Aspekte über ihre Geschichte, Formen, Funktionen, Interpretationen und Kontroversen werden hier nur oberflächlich gestreift. Ein kurzer Blick auf die Szenariomethodik ist aber dennoch für den Zweck des Buches erforderlich, um deutlich zu machen, von welchem Verständnis von Zukunftsbetrachtung und von der Rolle von Szenarien darin die methodische Konzeption der CIB ausgeht.
