Abstract

Zusammenfassung Für die nachhaltige Optimierung einer Webseite gibt es kein Patentrezept. Wichtig ist die Sammlung aller möglichen Daten und Kennzahlen vor Beginn der Maßnahmen, um deren Fortschritt dokumentieren und bei Fehlentwicklungen gegensteuern zu können. Sehr hilfreich ist der direkte Zugang zu den Server-Logfiles beim Provider, aus denen sich eine zentrale Kennzahl wie der Datentransfer pro Besucher monatlich, wöchentlich oder täglich ermitteln lässt. Denn darin sind auch alle versteckten Bot-Zugriffe enthalten, deren Reduzierung ebenfalls Teil jeder nachhaltigen Optimierung sein sollte. Unterteilt werden können die Maßnahmen in die Bereiche Hosting, Content Management System und Erstellung neuer Inhalte.
