Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft sind mit einer Welt fehlender Vorhersagbarkeit und damit zunehmender Unsicherheit konfrontiert. Entscheidungsträger müssen häufiger auf neue und unbekannte Situationen reagieren. Um dem entgegenzusteuern, sind vorhandene Daten bestmöglich nutzbar zu machen und mit modernen Vorhersageinstrumenten situationsbezogen zu interpretieren. Am Beispiel der IT-Logistik wird ein Weg aufgezeigt, beginnend von der organisatorischen Zusammenarbeit der involvierten Geschäftsbereiche mit der IT, über die Verbesserung der Datenqualität und Datenaufbereitung bis hin zur Nutzung der Daten für Vorhersagen auf der Basis von ereignisdiskreter Simulation.
