Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Kapitel zeigt, wie mittelständische Spediteure mit Hilfe des Modells der horizontalen Transportabwicklung den sich ständig verändernden und immer neuen Anforderungen in der Transportwirtschaft begegnen sollten, um konkurrenz-, ja sogar überlebensfähig zu bleiben. Basierend auf der neuen Erwartungshaltung an den Spediteur in der heutigen Zeit wird ein Zielbild erarbeitet, das einen signifikanten Fortschritt gegenüber dem bestehenden Status quo darstellt. Dieses Zielbild lässt sich durch das Modell der horizontalen Transportabwicklung erreichen. Dabei werden Verlader, Spediteure und weitere Marktteilnehmer in das digitale Modell integriert und die Grenzen der vorherrschenden vertikalen Abwicklung aufgelöst, die heute nachhaltigere, qualitäts- und kostenoptimierte Transporte verhindert.
