Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die SOS-Kinderdörfer unterhalten ein weltumspannendes Netzwerk von über 500 SOS-Kinderdörfern und zahlreichen Zusatzeinrichtungen in 137 Ländern. Der Auftrag der SOS-Kinderdörfer ist es, Kindern, die ihre Herkunftsfamilie verloren haben oder dem Risiko ausgesetzt sind, sie zu verlieren, einen sicheren Ort zu geben, an dem sie wieder Anschluss an die Gesellschaft sowie den Zugang zur Bildung finden. Die SOS-Kinderdörfer schaffen so wesentliche Voraussetzungen, damit Kinder und Jugendliche ihr Leben in dem Umfeld, in das sie hineingeboren worden sind, selbstständig meistern können.
