Abstract

Zusammenfassung Mit dem Entstehen des Homo sapiens und der ersten Art seines Zusammenlebens kam es im Vergleich zum vorausgehenden Zeitraum zu einer intensiveren Nutzung der natürlichen Ressourcen und zu einer erheblichen Ausweitung der bewohnten Fläche der Erde. Im weiteren Entwicklungsprozess in den Urgesellschaften war es den Menschen möglich, mehr agrarische Produkte zu erzeugen, als zur unmittelbaren Existenzsicherung der Gemeinschaftsmitglieder erforderlich waren. Dieser Überschuss oder das Mehrprodukt ermöglichte es, die materiellen und kulturellen Existenzbedingungen der Gemeinschaft weiter zu verbessern oder zu schaffen.
