Abstract

Zusammenfassung Obwohl der Begriff „Metaverse“ bereits seit den 90er Jahren des letzten Jahrtausends existiert, lässt sich erst seit Anfang 2021 ein gesteigertes Interesse der Öffentlichkeit feststellen. Dieses Interesse ist in verschiedenen Regionen der Welt unterschiedlich stark ausgeprägt, und einige global agierende Konzerne haben aufgrund der Entwicklungen zu einem Metaverse ihre gesamte Geschäftsstrategie angepasst. Warum das so ist, was genau sich hinter dem Begriff verbirgt und welche Schritte bisher auf dem Weg zum Metaverse zurückgelegt wurden, lesen Sie hier.
