Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Beitrag von Serafin Eilmes spürt dem Paradox der Holacracy nach: Ein mehr an Regeln muss nicht unbedingt zu einem mehr an Klarheit führen, sondern kann im Gegenteil weitere Unklarheit zur Folge haben. Die Unklarheit spitzt sich in der empirisch untersuchten Organisation in einer Regellosigkeit zu, bei der unklar wird, welche Regeln gelten und welche nicht. Regeln wirken nicht aus sich heraus, sondern als Praxis; sie müssen im Organisationsalltag interpretiert und der Situation angepasst werden. Die Ursachen der Regellosigkeit werden einerseits intern in der mangelhaften Einübung der Regeln und extern in der besonderen Konzeption der holakratischen Regeln verortet. Dabei fällt auf, dass die holakratischen Regeln extern definiert, künstlich, engmaschig und zum Arbeiten zwingend erforderlich sind. Die Starrheit der Holacracy ist unvereinbar mit dem Laissez-fair der beobachteten Organisation. Die Folge sind zahlreiche Konflikte und Spannungen, die nicht mehr gelöst werden können.
