Abstract

Zusammenfassung In Folge der Karlsbader Beschlüsse und der Demagogenverfolgung war das Pressewesen im Deutschen Bund streng reglementiert und erheblich eingeschränkt. Alle Schriften mit bis zu 20 Druckbogen unterlagen der Zensur und einer Stempelsteuer. Diese Einschränkungen hatten zum Ziel, die Meinungsäußerung zur Gesellschaftspolitik auf ein Mindestmaß zu reduzieren und alle liberalen Tendenzen zu unterdrücken; dies galt entsprechend auch für die Zeitungen.
