Abstract

Zusammenfassung Viel wichtiger als die Erfassung von ehrenamtlichen Strukturen ist es, einen Blick auf die Motive der Engagierten zu werfen. Welche Menschen stehen hinter diesen Leistungen, und was bewegt sie, sich freiwillig und unentgeltlich in ihrer Freizeit zu engagieren? Bei den folgenden Porträts handelt es sich um eine Auswahl an Interviews mit Engagierten über die unterschiedlichen Facetten ehrenamtlichen Engagements in gesellschaftlich relevanten Bereichen. Dabei sind die Beweggründe genauso vielfältig wie das Engagement.
