Abstract

Zusammenfassung Der Klimawandel stellt global eine der zentralen Herausforderungen für die Menschheit dar. Einen erheblichen Treiber stellt der Ausstoß von Treibhausgasen (CO2, CH4, etc.) dar, welche die Geschwindigkeit des Klimawandels beschleunigen. Die Betrachtung der Emittenten nach Sektoren zeigt, dass der Transport von Personen und Gütern im Jahr 2020 einen Anteil von 21,76 % der weltweiten Emissionen (zum Vergleich Deutschland: 20,1 %) verursacht hat. Um das erklärte Ziel der Klimaneutralität zu erreichen, stellt der Verkehr einen geeigneten Eingriffspunkt dar.
