Abstract

Zusammenfassung Bei den digitalen Geschäftsmodellen zählen die Marktplätze zu den großen Gewinnern. Marktplatzbasierte Geschäftsmodelle weisen im Vergleich zu Webshop-basierten Modellen doppelt so hohe Wachstumsraten aus (siehe Abb. 4.1). Dies liegt zum Teil an den enormen Wachstumsraten der Marktplätze in bislang eher weniger entwickelten Märkten wie Asien, Afrika und Südamerika, jedoch weisen auch in Deutschland und Westeuropa die Marktplätze das größte Wachstum vor (Hübner, 2020, S. 125 f.).
