Abstract

Zusammenfassung In diesem Kapitel wird zunächst ein Überblick über das sich wandelnde Einkaufsverhalten im E-Commerce gegeben, welches nicht nur zuletzt durch wirtschaftliche, politische und ökologische Ereignisse stark geprägt wurde. Im zweiten Schritt werden Verhaltensänderungen zusammengefasst, die einerseits Reaktionen auf technische Weiterentwicklungen abbilden und andererseits mit den Charakteristiken, der Marktsituation, den Betriebstypen und Wachstumsträgern des Onlinehandels einhergehen. Anschließend wird illustriert, welche Konsequenzen elektronischer Handel auf die Umwelt hat beziehungsweise wie sich Nachhaltigkeit im E-Commerce berücksichtigen lässt, um dem gesteigerten Bedarf der Konsument:innen nach einem ökologischen Handel gerecht zu werden.
