Abstract

Zusammenfassung Ein Hauptziel des Data Managements ist es, sicherzustellen, dass die Daten für den jeweiligen Zweck geeignet sind. Es geht darum, zu wissen, welche Daten eine Organisation hat und was mit ihnen erreicht werden kann, und dann zu bestimmen, wie die Datenbestände am besten genutzt werden können, um die Unternehmensziele zu erreichen. Dieses Kapitel enthält ausgewählte Themen des Data Management, die in direktem Zusammenhang mit der Digitalisierung globaler Supply Chains stehen. Die Notwendigkeit dafür wird ausführlich in Abschn. 3.4 diskutiert.
