Abstract

Zusammenfassung Falls sich Deutschland – oder die EU27 – zu einem umfassenden Energieimport- Boykott gegen Russland entscheiden sollte, wäre das ein historisch ziemlich einmaliger Fall von Wirtschaftskrieg, der die internationalen Öl-, Gas- und Kohlemärkte beträfe und Russlands Wirtschaft mittelfristig in verstärkte Schwierigkeiten brächte. Der EU-Entscheidung aus dem Juni 2022, den Import von Öl aus Russland in wenigen Monaten schrittweise weitgehend zu blockieren (mit einer Ausnahme für Ungarn), soll nach Angaben der Politik in Brüssel und Berlin die Kriegsfinanzierung Russlands deutlich schwächen. Diese Vorstellung ist allerdings eine Art leeres ökonomisches Märchen – Inhalt hätte dieses Märchen am ehesten bei Gasimporten aus Russland, wobei hier viele EU-Länder jedoch ökonomisch stark verletztlich sind; insbesondere Deutschland, Italien und einige osteuropäische Länder.
