Abstract

Zusammenfassung Wenn man sich für die EU27 die Importe bei Gas und Öl mit Blick auf die wichtigsten Lieferländer in 2020 beziehungsweise im ersten Halbjahr 2021 ansieht, so sieht man, dass bei Gas in 2021 der Anteil Russlands mit 46,8% (bezogen auf Drittländer-Importe von Gas) noch um 2,9 Prozentpunkte höher ausfiel als 2020. Norwegen, Algerien, die USA und Katar folgten mit Anteilswerten in 2021 von 20,5%, 11,6%, 6,3% beziehungsweise 4,3% (Abb. 8). Durch die Inbetriebnahme der North-Stream2-Gaspipeline zu Russland wäre der EU-Anteil bei Gas wohl auf über 50% bei Russland gestiegen. In der Wettbewerbspolitik der EU gilt ein Marktanteil von über 50% als Marktbeherrschungsproblem und man kann von daher schlecht nachvollziehen, warum Deutschland, Österreich, die Niederlande und andere EU-Länder das Projekt North-Stream 2 über viele Jahre politisch forciert haben.
