Abstract

Zusammenfassung Nato-Generalsekretär Stoltenberg hat auf dem Davos-Gipfel 2022 verlautbart, dass mit Blick auf den Ukraine-Russland-Krieg ein Widerspruch zwischen Freihandel und Freiheit bestehe. Das soll offenbar besagen, dass man seitens der Nato-Länder nicht auf die Regeln der Welthandelsordnung und des Multilateralismus setzen soll und tendenziell auf Handel mit Russland verzichten müsse; und wenn diese Logik so allgemein gelten sollte, dann kann es auch keinen Handel mit China geben – oder am Ende vielleicht auch keine Direktinvestitionen dort. Zwar gibt es mit China keinen Krieg des Westens; aber Chinas Führung achtet die Menschenrechte in einem Teil des Staatsgebietes nicht und vermutlich gibt es in Peking Blaupausen für einen Militärangriff auf Taiwan in naher oder ferner Zukunft.
