Abstract

Zusammenfassung Die Erlernbarkeit einer Sprache innerhalb und außerhalb ihres Sprachraumes wirkt über das Arbeitspotenzial auf die Wirtschaft. Dabei sind auch beim Deutschen objektive, langfristig gewachsene Sprachmerkmale wie Groß- und Kleinschreibung, Konjugation oder Deklination zu unterscheiden von subjektiven, hausgemachten. Dazu zählt eine Verkomplizierung durch Verwaltungssprache und Gender-Sprache sowie eine zunehmende Zahl an Abkürzungen. Diese Tendenz wirkt einer im Wettbewerb geborenen Ökonomisierung der Sprache entgegen, die sich aus digitaler Kommunikation, den Anglizismen und Migration ergeben. Migranten und Flüchtlinge finden in erster Linie aus humanitären Gründen Aufnahme in Deutschland. Sie sind ihrerseits aber auch ein zahlenmäßig großes Potenzial für die Gewinnung bzw. Entwicklung von Fachkräften. Grundvoraussetzung und nicht selten Hindernis hierfür ist das Beherrschen der deutschen Sprache. Anders befindet sich die deutsche Wirtschaft bei der Gewinnung von Fachkräften und Spezialisten im internationalen Wettbewerb mit anderen Industrienationen. Hier zeigt eine Befragung im Rahmen dieses Kapitels, welchen Stellenwert Attraktivität und Erlernbarkeit von Deutsch im Rahmen der Entscheidung ausländischer Studenten und junger Fachkräfte über ihren künftigen Lebens- und Arbeitsmittelpunkt haben.
