Abstract

Zusammenfassung Kostenmanagement ist in Arztpraxen mitunter ein schwieriges Thema. Häufig wird es emotional diskutiert oder gar aus medizin-ethischen Gründen tabuisiert. Dabei geht es aus betriebswirtschaftlicher Sicht überhaupt nicht darum, Patienten, Behandlungsmethoden oder Praxisangehörige als Kostenfaktoren zu betrachten. Vielmehr ist eine wirksame, nachhaltige Kostensteuerung in Arztpraxen wichtig, damit ein möglichst großer ökonomischer Spielraum für eine bestmögliche medizinische Versorgung erhalten bleibt. Die betriebswirtschaftliche Praxisführung bietet hierzu ein breites Instrumentarium: Kostenrechnungsarten, Verfahren zur Kostensteuerung und Methoden zur Kostenreduzierung auf der Basis des betrieblichen Rechnungswesens. Anhand von zahlreichen Beispielen wird die Funktionsweise verschiedener Methoden in diesem Kapitel erläutert.
