Abstract

Zusammenfassung Was sind Medien und warum gibt es sie überhaupt? Um die Arbeitsweise der Medien zu verstehen, ist ein Blick hinter die Kulissen nötig – diesen Einblick möchte ich Ihnen mit diesem ersten Kapitel geben. Hier erfahren Sie Grundsätze über die Welt der Medien, lernen erste ökonomischen Prinzipien kennen und erfahren, was es mit den Begriffen Information und Journalismus auf sich hat. Denn hier ist nichts so einfach wie es scheint und nichts könnte für die Gesellschaft heute wichtiger sein als stabile Medien mit einem stabilen journalistischen Apparat, der unabhängig agiert und sich seiner wichtigen Aufgabe bewusst ist. Genauso wichtig ist es aber, dass die Menschen die Wirkungsweisen dieses Apparats verstehen, ich helfe Ihnen dabei.
