Abstract

Zusammenfassung Auf den Begriff der Wirtschaftsordnung wird in vier Dimensionen eingegangen. Zum ersten geht es um die definitorische Dimension. Hier wird nicht nur der Begriff als solcher bestimmt, sondern u. a. zwischen positiver und normativer Wirtschaftsordnung, formal-rechtlichen und informell-gesellschaftlichen Regeln sowie Gesamtordnung und Teilordnungen unterschieden. Zum zweiten beschäftigt sich dieses Kapitel mit der funktionalen Dimension, d. h. mit den verschiedenen Aufgaben, die eine Wirtschaftsordnung im Hinblick auf die Funktionsfähigkeit des Wirtschaftssystems, die Sicherung seiner (Kosten-)Effizienz und die Gewährleistung des gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalts zu erfüllen hat. Zum dritten wird die internationale Dimension behandelt. Bei einem Staatenbund wie der EU muss zwischen nationalen bzw. mitgliedstaatlichen und zwischenstaatlichen bzw. gemeinschaftlichen Wirtschaftsordnungen unterschieden und geklärt werden, welche vorrangig und welche nachrangig zu behandeln sind, ob sie sich komplementär oder konfligierend verhalten und ob eine Harmonisierung der mitgliedstaatlichen Ordnungen oder Wettbewerb zwischen ihnen angestrebt wird. Schließlich wird viertens die historische Dimension aufgegriffen und ein Überblick über die Entwicklung der Wirtschaftsordnungen in Europa und Deutschland seit dem 19. Jahrhundert gegeben.
