Abstract

Zusammenfassung ERP-Systeme und Robotic Process Automation (RPA) ermöglichen vor allem im „Backoffice“, in den sogenannten Unterstützungsprozessen, die Automatisierung von repetitiven, manuellen und oft auch zeitaufwändigen Tätigkeiten. Voraussetzungen für deren erfolgreiche Auswahl und Einführung sind klare Ziele sowie die Analyse der Ist-Prozesse und die daraus resultierende Definition optimierter Soll-Prozesse. Insbesondere ist darauf zu achten, dass die Optimierung der Prozesse vor der technischen Implementierung des IT-Systems erfolgt. Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird am Beispiel eines produzierenden mittelständischen Unternehmens die Auswahl eines ERP-Systems – als notwendige Basis für später darauf aufzusetzende RPA-Lösungen – mit einer dreistufigen Vorgehensmethodik vorgestellt. In der ersten Stufe geht es um die Zieldefinition und Projektorganisation. In der zweiten Stufe werden bestehende Unterstützungsprozesse analysiert sowie Schwachstellen identifiziert und bewertet. Die abgeleiteten Soll-Prozesse dienen in der dritten Stufe als wesentliche Grundlage für die Auswahl eines passgenauen ERP- oder RPA-Systems.
