Abstract

Zusammenfassung Für die Optimierung von Beschaffungsprozessen bietet Robotic Process Automation (RPA) vielfältige Anwendungsmöglichkeiten. RPA bedeutet, dass Software-Roboter manuelle Tätigkeiten und somit die Rollen und Aufgaben von Personen übernehmen, indem sie deren Verhalten beim Nutzen von Anwendungssystemen nachahmen. Für RPA geeignete Prozesse finden sehr häufig standardisiert auf der Basis digital vorliegender und strukturierter Daten statt. Das gilt insbesondere für operative und ansatzweise auch für strategische Beschaffungsprozesse. In diesem Beitrag werden die folgenden Varianten von RPA in der Beschaffung unterschieden: Guided buying, Voice-Bots, Chat-Bots, RPA-Bots, Verhandlungs-Bots und Intelligent Process Automation (IPA). Es wird aufgezeigt, inwieweit diese für strategische und operative Beschaffungsprozesse eingesetzt werden können. Bei strategischen Prozessen spielt IPA, worunter die Verbindung von RPA mit Künstlicher Intelligenz (KI) zu verstehen ist, eine große Rolle. Im operativen Bereich kommen eher klassische RPA-Anwendungen zum Einsatz. Weiterhin behandelt der Beitrag Nutzenpotenziale und Risiken von RPA und gibt Hinweise für eine erfolgreiche Implementierung.
