Abstract

Zusammenfassung Durch die Digitalisierung verändern sich das Controlling und das Berufsbild von Controller:innen grundlegend. Während Controller:innen ursprünglich – wenig charmant – teilweise als „Erbsenzähler:innen“ abgestempelt wurden, hat sich ihre Rolle inzwischen hin zu internen Unternehmensberater:innen und zentralen Informationslieferant:innen der Unternehmensführung entwickelt und etabliert. Anlässlich der zunehmenden Digitalisierung muss sich das Controlling nun neuen Herausforderungen stellen. In diesem Zusammenhang sollte das Controlling insbesondere die Prozesse der Unternehmen auf die Anforderungen der Digitalisierung abstimmen, um die zunehmende Datenflut beherrschbar und verwertbar zu machen. Controller:innen werden somit zusätzlich zu „Digitalisierungs-Coach:innen“ eines Unternehmens.
