Abstract

Zusammenfassung Das Kernziel eines Family Offices sollte unseres Erachtens eine klare Trennung von Privatvermögen und operativer Tätigkeit sein. Nicht zu Unrecht behaupten Viele, dass Investieren eine Kunst und keine Wissenschaft darstellt – und diese besteht darin, immer wieder Anpassungen vorzunehmen und Grundwahrheiten unabhängig von der jeweiligen Entwicklung treu zu bleiben. In einem solchen Fall kann ein Family Office praktische Hilfe bieten. Idealerweise ist es von der Geschäftsführung getrennt. Der Patron vertraut dabei frühzeitig die Verwaltung eines Teils seines Vermögens einer oder mehreren Vertrauenspersonen an. Er kann sich so besser auf seine Kernkompetenz der Unternehmensführung konzentrieren. Das Family Office wird so zum Majordomus der Familie.
