Abstract

Zusammenfassung Familienunternehmen müssen die finanzielle Führung aus allen Perspektiven optimieren. Diese Optimierung ist notwendig, aber nicht hinreichend, um den langfristigen Unternehmenserfolg sicher zu stellen. In meiner Forschung am Center Family Business der Universität St. Gallen sowie aus eigenen Erfahrungen als CFO habe ich dazu eine Systematik entwickelt. Sie besteht aus fünf unterscheidbaren Entwicklungsschritten, die auch dieses Fachbuch gliedern. Das Entwicklungsmodell beginnt mit dem Schaffen von Transparenz (Kap. 3–10), gefolgt von der Sicherstellung der Compliance (Kap. 11–14), der Optimierung der Performance (Kap. 15–19), einer periodischen Anpassung der Strategie (Kap. 20–27) und schließlich der sogenannten „guten“ Governance (Führung (Kap. 28–33)).
