Abstract

Zusammenfassung Politische Rahmenbedingungen, eine dynamische Produktentwicklung und eine engagierte Auseinandersetzung mit Nachhaltigkeit entlang der gesamten Wertschöpfungskette machen den Versicherungssektor zu einem prädestinierten Akteur für die nachhaltige Transformation. Sein Geschäftsmodell ist die Risikoübernahme im Kollektiv und über die Zeit. Das dafür benötigte Deckungskapital legen Versicherer am Kapitalmarkt an. Über die Risikobewertung und ihre Investitionen haben sie eine wichtige Lenkungsfunktion für eine nachhaltige Transformation. Gesetzgebung und Aufsichtsbehörden adressieren ihre Anforderungen und Erwartungen an den Sektor. Der macht seinerseits in einer Nachhaltigkeits-Roadmap Beiträge zum Erreichen der Klimaziele konkret.
